The Essential Vegetarian Cookbooks

The Must Have Vegetarian Cookbooks!!

Last month we decided to turn away from our beloved organic meat and started on a vegetarian Movember. The road was hard but was greatly eased with some stunning cookbooks. These were the vegetarian cookbook essentials any budding vegetarian needs...

Plenty - Yotam Ottolenghi
"Yotam Ottolenghi has established himself as one of the most exciting talents in the world of cookery and food writing. This exclusive collection of vegetarian recipes is drawn from his column 'The New Vegetarian' for the Guardian's Weekend magazine, and features both brand-new recipes and dishes first devised for that column."

River Cottage Veg - Hugh
"An abundance of veg-tastic recipes, including a warm salad of grilled courgettes, lemon, garlic, mint and mozzarella, a winter giant couscous salad with herbs and walnuts, radishes with butter and salt, lemony guacamole, linguine with mint and almond pesto and cherry tomatoes, baby carrot risotto, new potato gnocchi, a summer stir-fry with green veg, ginger, garlic and sesame. With over 200 recipes, this is a timely eulogy to the glorious green stuff"

The Chubby Vegetarian - http://chubbyvegetarian.blogspot.co.uk/

"Not a recipe book sadly but rather a blog to some top quality recipes and great eats for the vegetarian. Simple and quick to make the Chubby Vegetarian teaches you to whip up some glorious black bean burgers and a vegetarian aubergine tagine.

One word: Sublime"

The Accidental Vegetarian
- Simon Rimmer

"This book is a collection of some of his recipes that are quick to prepare but totally delicious. From good old favourites like macaroni cheese to Simon's more exotic fusion creations such as spicy beetroot and coconut soup, "The Accidental Vegetarian" will kill the lentil and sandal image of vegetarianism forever!"
